Responsibilities
- Work closely with the SOC and other security teams’ to maximize existing SOAR automation playbooks based on the requirements
- Identify new automation use cases to identify savings, add value and optimize security automations
- Understand SOC team's low-level / time-consuming tasks, develop logic for automation and code them in SOAR. Development of new playbooks should have a focus on integrating and expanding use of existing security technology stack through SOAR.
- Manage and maintain the SOAR playbooks. Troubleshoot errors/ logic issues. Recommend and execute improvements.
- Assist with identification of metrics needed for SOAR playbooks and develop metrics-based dashboard using widgets within SOAR product. Metrics shall clearly demonstrate the business benefit of new and updated automations.
- Develop documentations for playbooks and their logic.
- Inhouse management and maintenance / upgrade of SOAR solution
Requirements
- SOAR subject matter expert with deep solution expertise
- Broad experience implementing SOAR to enhance and automate Threat Detection and Response activities
- Broad Knowledge of security stack and technologies such as Endpoint Security, Network Security, Cloud Security, Application Security, Mobile Device Security.
- Proven experience as a Software Developer/ Software Engineer
- Possess expertise in Python programming language and Jinja2 framework
- Solid understanding of web services and HTTP request methods. Experience working with APIs to fetch, parse and send data to create a decision based workflow
- Be proficient in use of regular expression
- Basic understanding of cybersecurity terms and concepts Completion of "FortiSOAR Design and Development" training or work experience in other SOAR products is a plus”
