This role will work under the direction of the Associate Director, Outsourcing Programming & Analytics, SPM and is responsible for assisting in the development and maintenance of the necessary analytics tools and associated data for the Service Provider management (SPM) functional activities. These tools will assist in driving future outsourcing strategy for R&D Development and specifically within GCO. 

The Manager, Data & Applied Analytics will have involvement in;

• Identifying where technology can improve workflow, provide data clarity and increase productivity.
• Designing systems, including development and maintenance to support SPM/GCO deliverables.
• Design, development, documentation and quality assurance of new systems.
• Defining technical requirements, database structure and database environment. 
• Provision of reporting and analysis of sourcing data to support the control of negotiated Commercial Models (GCO and RCO).
• Ability to work in externally available commercial databases to support role.
• Development of tools to support other departments needs for cost data from the company’s service providers including communication and requirements gathering.
• Providing ongoing training on existing and new databases and other systems developed by the group.
• Direct communication with other functions and service providers.
• Training and mentor Data Analytics Managers.
• Supporting LEAN processes and continuous improvement.

You Possess;

EDUCATION/LANGUAGES

• B.S. degree in a scientific, medical or business discipline and/or the equivalent in specific work experience related to this role.
• Fluent in spoken and written English

PROFESSIONAL & TECHNICAL SKILLS

• 5 years of extensive professional experience, with a minimum of 2-3 years in an associated role in the pharmaceutical industry or CRO
• Experienced VBA Programmer
• Strong skills in database design and management (SQL)
• Solid understanding of the End-to-End Clinical Research Process
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to think/act strategically
• Ability to work and understand in a multi-cultural business
• Highly developed written, verbal and listening skills
