Essential duties and Responsibilities:
24x7 support for applications built on Oracle/UNIX, Cloudera, DMX, Informatica platforms.
Responsible to monitor daily, weekly and monthly production scheduled jobs using Autosys.
Work with respective teams in case of job failures or delays in processing and communicate the same to internal/external clients on a timely manner.
Responsible for building scalable, cost-effective, and robust strategies in support of the overall achievement of corporate, business, and department goals.
Responsible for implementation, integration, testing, validation, documentation, review, maintenance, and accessibility of resources which enable effective and reliable data analytics, data visualization, and business intelligence.
Troubleshoots and fixes issues in Oracle PL/SQL, Unix/ Linux.
Investigate and fixes issues related in Hadoop Ecosystem Cloudera CDP (Preferred), HiveSQL, Impala, Apache Spark (PySpark) with complex logics and deliver the data to client within agreed amount of time to meet the service level agreement.
Performance tune the SQL/ Hadoop loads with both batch and near real-time data movements to ensure timely delivery.
Monitoring and troubleshooting issues with the data loads to S3, Athena databases in the Cloud.
Solves any issues with the performance and functionality on all the production applications.
Ensures daily deliverables complete in time for clients and monitors schedules that involves adjusting the priority of the jobs, usage of space, memory, and resources.
Provides optimal solutions through understanding of the Enterprise Data warehouse (EDW).
Resolving production issues and effectively communicates with stakeholders with root cause analysis, actions taken, required changes, or new requirements and mitigation plan.
Automates any repeated manual process using Autosys scheduler and Unix/ Linux.
Discuss all production support aspects with the offshore/ onshore team and provide status updates to management.
Preferred Knowledge/ Experience:
Mandatory Skills:
Solid experience in Development and Enhancement.
Heavy experience in PLSQL, UNIX, Hadoop and AWS Knowledge
Willing to do People Management/ Team Management.
7+ Years of work experience in IT industry including 2 years in IT Production Support
Work with onshore, offshore outsourced vendor to an SLA and execution of critical situations.
Experience in working with development teams, production control, job scheduler (Autosys) and coordinating with multiple departments within the organization
24x7 Support environment.
7+ Years of experience in Oracle PL/SQL, UNIX / LINUX/ Python Scripting.
2+ years of experience in Hadoop Ecosystem Hive, Impala, Pyspark. (Cloudera – CDP Preferred).
2+ years of experience in scheduling Autosys jobs.
Knowledge in cloud platform/ tools (S3, Athena) concepts and trends. AWS preferred.
Experience with software Engineering best practices, including but not limited to version control (GitHub – Preferred)
Strong customer service skills.
Excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skills.
Expert troubleshooting skills.
