Essential duties and Responsibilities:
Manage and support Oracle RDMS, Oracle Exadata, Oracle RAC, and other data platforms that reside in a data center and in public cloud environments.
Design, implement and manage highly available, scalable, and secure database solutions.
Work closely with other engineering and operations teams to ensure proper integration of database infrastructure with other systems.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to database performance, security, and availability.
Manages, monitors, and maintains multiple databases to ensure necessary resources are present.
Implement, manage, and monitor database backups to insure recoverability.
Implements scripts for database monitoring and automate routine tasks.
Completes SQL tuning and database performance optimization, balancing usability and automation.
Point of escalation for issues and request for client group.
Executes planned database maintenance.
Enhance technical documentation to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
Advanced knowledge of database environments, control systems, software development lifecycle (etc).
Strong knowledge of ITIL methodology.
Strong customer service/communication skills.
Advanced technical skills with the ability to analyze and problem solve.
Strong ability to evaluate and implement database tuning.
Bachelor’s degree or international equivalent.
5 years of relevant experience.
