ICON Market Access Fellowship
- Overview: A 1-year program aimed at providing fellows with an opportunity to gain an array of experiences and skills focused in US and global market access strategy. This program will encompass a broad range of learning opportunities by giving fellows exposure to various pharmaceutical and biotechnology clients, therapeutic areas, managed care decision makers, and healthcare providers through a combination of market access agency and consulting endeavors.
- Objectives:
- Gain an understanding of various types of strategic and tactical priorities along the product lifecycle that support client's market access needs
- Gain an understanding of US and global market access environments and how the value of therapies can be communicated in each of these areas
- Learn about various stakeholders within the market access environment and how messages can be tailored to align to their incentives and priorities
- Understand how market research and analytics can drive actionable insights for a variety of business situations and questions
- Gain training and experience in literature evaluation, data analysis, presentation of results, and medical communications
- Develop an understanding of how and why pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and device companies engage with companies such as ICON market access for support and partnership

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Conducts literature searches and analyzes data to identify appropriate evidence to support development of market access materials
- Contribute to the completion of landscape assessments through secondary research related to key areas such as pathophysiology, epidemiology, competitors, current standard of care
- Assist in the daily completion of project work focused on providing targeted recommendations for pricing pharmaceutical products to ensure optimal patient access and reimbursement
- Support the development of primary and secondary research tools such as qualitative research discussion guides, quantitative research survey guides, and the collection and distillation of data from these tools
- Support strategy development through analysis of HTA assessments and payer coverage policies in scope markets to evaluate pricing and reimbursement trends
Qualified candidates will have:
- A PharmD degree
- 2 letters of recommendation
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Ability to prioritize and work in a fast paced environment
