At ICON, we have an incredible opportunity for a Senior Procurement Associate to join the Process & Infrastructure team within Procurement in our Leopardstown, Dublin 18 location.

As a Senior Procurement Associate with ICON you will be fully supported, working with experienced managers in a collaborative environment where you will play a key part in a developing team.

The Senior Procurement Associate will have the opportunity to work closely with internal stake holders using world class IT and data analytics systems procuring internationally across the global ICON family.

The Role:

Overview of Supplier Management Portal (SMP)

Management of our suppliers is an important part of the work we do. Using ProcessUnity we have developed a hugely successful platform for vendor management.

  • While the Global Supplier List Administrator will deal with all day to day SMP activities & reports, the Senior Procurement Associate will cover escalations/ issues
  • Review of metrics and drive efficiencies
  • Review of Improvements Log and system build/adaptation
  • Leading improvements/updates to the Supplier Questionnaire (liaising with Key stakeholders)
  • Lead the integration of recent ICON acquisitions into the SMP
  • Integration with other ICON systems
  • Lead and co-ordinate the annual de-authorisation process (removal of suppliers)

Vendor Contract Management Instance

Management of Vendor Contracts is an important area for ICON. A new instance of ProcessUnity has been developed in order to host all our Vendor MSA/Standalone Contracts and manage Procurement Related Requests.

  • Capturing feedback from stakeholders and working to implement updates
  • Review of metrics
  • Review of Improvements Log and system build/adaptation
  • Building additional strategic functionality into contracts instance

Oracle iProcurement

ICON uses Oracle iProcurement for creation of Purchase Orders.

  • Additional operating units roll out (design of process and implementation)
  • Streamlining existing processes to cut waste and reduce duplication.
  • Managing improvements within Oracle & working with systems team to improve user interface

What you need:

  • Minimum 4/5 years experience, preferably in a global business environment.
  • Strong systems experience, preferably SAP and/or Oracle
  • Fluent English speaker.
  • Ability to build consensus, teamwork, and creativity within a collaborative team with limited supervision.
  • Strong experience and knowledge of procurement related processes, tools, competencies.
  • Excellent analytical and organizational skills.
  • Self- starter and strong team player with ability to work with minimum of supervision.
  • Ability to inform and influence decision making at a Senior Management level.
  • Advanced competency in MS Office skills (Excel, Word, Power Point, Outlook).
  • Ability to formulate presentations and business cases.
  • Passionate about progressing their Procurement career with focus on continuous improvement, both external & internal.
  • As Desirable skills: previous project management experience.
