We are looking for passionate, resilient, and inspiring individuals to join our team. As the (Senior) Account Manager, Global Medical Communications, you are a member of the GMC leadership team, will lead the Senior Project Lead team, develop your team's project management and client interfacing skills and help your team build their client strategy capabilities. In your role you are expected to embrace and contribute to our culture of process improvement with a focus on streamlining our processes adding value to our business and meeting client needs. In addition, on occasions you will interact with our clients with your team. This role provides critical subject matter expertise in publications and medical communications to internal teams or clients directly to assure delivery excellence.
The role:
- Responsible for assigned team resource assignment of accounts
- Responsible for performance management of assigned team reports / staff
- Partnership / collaboration with Manager Project Management in the management of project management resource, training and performance
- Collaborate with Client Engagement Directors and Account Managers to develop plans and support resourcing for new accounts
- Collaborates across ACC to support sharing of best practice, training, resource, cross-functional projects in support of an integrated delivery model
To perform (Senior) Account Manager, Global Medical Communications role successfully, you will have a blend of the skills and knowledge outlined below. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
- At least six years of senior client services management of publications and medical communications experience
- Experience mentoring, training and/or supervising assigned team, as appropriate
- Manages assigned team responsible to ensure all work is completed compliantly according to SOP's (Client, and ICON) as well as industry standards
- Demonstrates resourcefulness; promotes the development of new ideas and solutions.
- Anticipates problems before they occur and seeks solutions (risk mitigation).
- Responsible for participation in the development and execution of new processes
- Experience utilizing client's database and project management tools e.g. Veeva Vault, DataVision, PubsHub, PubsStrat, and Microsoft programs e.g. MicroSoft Office
- Bachelors' Degree
- 6 to 9 years relevant experience
