Role summary

We are looking to recruit Analytics Development Lead, as part of a specialist team, who will be leading the technical development effort of visual analytics for ICON's informatics platform ICONIK - http://www.iconplc.com/innovation/iconik/. The candidate will be responsible for working with stakeholders to define analytics requirements, leading and managing the deployment of risk-based approaches for central monitoring and process documentation. This position will also expect hands-on data architecture and development of existing and new initiatives of central monitoring analytical methods. Mentorship of junior technical staff is expected and the ability to work both independently and in a matrix team environment is essential.

What we need you to do:

  • Initiate, build and maintain collaborative working relationships with stakeholders to provide information and solve problems as and when they arise.
  • Oversee, coordinate and review aspects of product and analytical method development
  • Manage own and assigned resource time effectively on moderately complex analytics projects
  • Document all development and project management activities in accordance with departmental procedures
  • Communicate project assignments and concepts clearly to all relevant resources and stakeholders to achieve successful project completion
  • Contribute significantly to innovative approaches to achieve project goals
  • Implement appropriate strategies, processes and best practices
  • Mentor and supervise staff and be responsible for the quality and accuracy of the work done by others.

What we're looking for:

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree, or equivalent level qualification in Natural Sciences, Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Management or Information Technology, or have gained experience in a similar discipline.
  • Experience in clinical data management and/or knowledge of clinical risk management and/or central monitoring and/or clinical trials.
  • Experience in developing in SAS, Python, C# or SQL is desired.
  • Spotfire experience desired, but not critical
  • Deep understanding of data manipulation techniques, and aggregation methods
  • Good understanding of data visualization concepts
  • Project management experience and proven business analysis and requirements elicitation skills is an advantage
  • Good presentation skills and proven ability communicating requirements and solutions to development team members and stakeholder

  • Demonstrate ability to learn new technologies, applications and techniques
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills, with attention to details
  • Well organised and ability to handle multiple projects
  • Present strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrate drive, critical thinking and integrity
  • Formal or informal teaching/mentoring experience is a plus
  • Relevant work experience is highly preferred
