The Clinical Trial Liaison (CTL) internship program is designed to introduce doctorate-level candidates to site engagement strategies that facilitate recruitment of subjects in biotech and pharmaceutical clinical trials for which ICON serves as the contract research organization (CRO). Interns will be mentored by ICON CTLs and will engage in activities to enrich their understanding of the conduct of clinical trials, patient recruitment, communicating the scientific basis of trials, and the importance of documentation. This is a 10-Week Paid Summer Internship and is Office-Based in Raleigh, NC. No remote applicants will be considered.
Activities will include:
Training on corporate policies
Conducting research to identify potential investigators
Collecting and analyzing recruitment data
Shadowing CTL engagement visits with investigators and site staff, both remotely and in-person (local)
Conducting informational interviews to learn about other roles within a CRO
Researching and presenting on an assigned therapeutic area
Requirements:
Candidates must be willing to work full-time in the Raleigh, NC Office during the duration of the 10-Week internship program.
Candidates must currently be enrolled in the PharmD program at selected university.
