At ICON, we have an incredible opportunity for an expert Budget Analyst to join the team in our Mexico City Office.
The Role
As part of ICON's Global Business Services team, as a Budget Analyst you will work to develop and adapt clinical trial services budgets and contracts for ICON's clients. You will collaborate with the global Contract Services, BD, Legal, Finance and Operational teams and lead budget and contract negotiations with our clients.
Responsible for:
- Development and maintenance of clinical trial budgets and agreements for newly awarded and on-going projects at ICON.
- Working closely with Operational groups across the organisation to understand the components of the clinical trial and ensuring budgets are set up for success with full operational scope incorporated.
- Liaising with other Global Business Services teams to ensure Commercial, Legal and Financial agreements are acceptable.
- Providing insightful project/financial analysis on the project budget to justify budget changes prior to client submission.
- Preparing and negotiating cash neutral payment schedules.
- Being a key point of contact for the client. Negotiating budgets and agreements directly with our client counterparts.
- Participating in department process improvement initiatives.
What you need
- A degree in Life Sciences, Business, Finance or related discipline and strong Excel skills.
- Ability to prepare and analyse budgets is essential for this position
- Excellent oral and written communication skills. Comfortable hosting and presenting at team and client meetings.
- Ability to work collaboratively and develops strong working relationships across the team and with clients.
- Previous experience working within the Pharma / Clinical Research industry would be an advantage
