Direct to Patient Contact Assistant (DPC)

Location: Kentucky, US

We are adding to our ICON Direct to Patient Contact team in North America! This is a full-time, position with responsibility to provide support services to patients and perform inbound /outbound contacts with patients.

ICON is a leading Global CRO specializing in the development of drugs and devices for the pharmaceutical industry that save lives and improve quality of life.

ICON's Direct to Patient Contact department is providing services to enhance patient recruitment, retention and support in clinical studies. Our activities include direct interactions with patients including inbound and outbound contacts, study support, collection of data such as quality of life, compensations and reimbursements.

Responsibilities:

  • Works under the functional supervision of the Direct to Patient Contact Manager (DPCM) on assigned studies.
  • Assist in the creation of documents, plans and trackers for assigned projects.
  • Performs patients contacts (phone calls, e-mails, letters, etc.) as dictated by study protocol and plans.
  • Performs administrative tasks, manage study material, documents printing and shipping.
  • Update patient contact databases, performs quality controls and provides status reports along the project.
  • Ensure all necessary documentation is provided and appropriately filed/archived

Qualifications:

  • High-school diploma and/or GED required.
  • Minimum 2 years work experience
  • Call center experience and/or within a medical office or administrative setting highly desired.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook, Internet Explorer) and other software applications and databases.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

  • Fluent English with excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Good interpersonal relations and work effectively and cooperatively with others
  • Maintain a positive behaviour
  • Remain energetic, conscientious and motivated in a highly demanding work environment
