Executive Director, Business Development, US, Remote

We are seeking an Executive Director, Business Development to join our diverse and growing team with in our Biotech Government and Public Health Division here at ICON plc. With responsibility to manage, support and lead at team of Business Development account executives and manage a portfolio of your own for all ICON Services in the Government and Public health sector. Territory currently including North America and EU but not limited as we grow corporate initiatives.
What will you be doing?
Manage, Lead and mentor a sales team, driving new and repeat business across Biotech, Government clients, Pharmaceutical, Medical Device, also including Academia industries.
Ability to lead a successful team promoting Central Laboratories and Phase II-III solutions.
Achieve individual and team sales targets while developing and implementing regional sales strategies.
Build and strengthen relationships with key decision-makers, strategic partners, and industry networks for growth opportunities.
Collaborate with internal teams to optimize proposal processes and drive revenue.
Provide strategic insights to senior leadership and contribute to sales forecasting and business development initiatives.
Achieve annual sales targets, while contributing to quarterly as well as annual sales forecasting.
Your profile
Bachelor's degree in business, life sciences, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
Extensive experience in business development, sales, or client management within the Pharmaceutical, Biotechnology, or clinical research industry.
Proven track record of successfully negotiating and closing complex deals, driving revenue growth, and exceeding targets.
Strong leadership capabilities, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve organizational objectives and deliver exceptional results.
Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and influence decision-makers at all levels of the organization.
Biotechnology experience required; Government experience preferred
Experience in BD global for Phase II-III studies(However labs, eClnical will be considered)
