Summary: This position will provide the licensed Pharmacy Intern exposure to Phase I and II clinical trial protocol requirements in accordance with Good Clinical Practice (GCP), FDA regulations and requirements, sponsor expectations and ICON standard operating procedures under supervision of the pharmacist. The intern will be required to maintain accurate documents pertaining to the receiving, dispensing, returning and/or destruction of all study medications.
Job Description:
• Complete all ICON Epic Internship requirements including topic discussions and a presentation.
• Recognize, exemplify and adhere to ICON's values which centers around our commitment to People, Clients and Performance.
• Embrace and contribute to our culture of process improvement with a focus on streamlining our processes adding value to our business and meeting client needs.
• Familiarize and understand protocol-specific requirements.
• Familiarize, understand and apply all Standard Operating Procedures applicable to job description.
• Prepare study medications as required by protocol.
• Attend study start up meetings to review Pharmacy protocol procedures.
• Understand the operation of all medication delivery systems (e.g. infusion pumps).
• To undertake other reasonably related duties as may be assigned from time to time.
Requirements:
• Active Pharmacy Intern License in the state of Utah
