Laboratory Accessioning Coordinator

If you have experience accessioning laboratory data learn how you can play a key role as a Laboratory Accessioning Coordinator for ICON Laboratory Services (ILS) which is dedicated exclusively to central laboratory testing and the associate services for clinical trials.    
 
About the Laboratory Accessioning Coordinator:
  • Enters information from requisition form including subject demographic and any additional required data.
  • Accession visits on requisition and lab reports into the system.
  • Manage lab reports via email or hard copy and assigns a file name to the emails/files.
  • Link accessions, departments and/or tests to the performing lab ID/IDs provided on the lab report.
  • Review lab report to verify the patient demographic information and visit information matches the requisition form.
  • Identify discrepancies on requisitions and reports and initiate queries as required.
  • Link queries to system when response is received back from the site.

To succeed you will need:
 
You will possess an Associate’s Degree or local equivalent in Life Sciences or administrative computer related field along with  three years’ experience performing accession data entry, laboratory medical terminology, excellent organizational skills, ability to multitask, good communication skills and to be detail oriented, and knowledge of MS Outlook, Adobe, IRIS LIMS, MS Excel, and document scanning.
