Lead Learning & Development Specialist - People Leader Development
Location: Leopardstown, Dublin 18

At ICON, we have an incredible opportunity for an expert Learning and Development Specialist to join the team in our Global HQ in Dublin 18.
The Role
As a Lead Learning and Development Specialist you will lead the design, development and delivery of learning and development solutions within the People Development team in order to meet the identified needs of ICON's employees at all levels, enabling them to develop and grow in their roles and careers at ICON. The role also lead and/ or support broader Organisation Development projects within the Leadership & People Development Team.
- Bring creativity and innovation in the learning & development space; apply best in class practices/ programmes to develop, implement and monitor a suite of global interventions
- Lead the diagnosis, design and implementation of development interventions, with internal customers, to meet the global needs.
- Lead the creation and design of key learning programmes (including virtual and online) integrating adult learning theory into multi-platform learning, with a particular focus.
- Mentor and coach other trainers, facilitators and coaches as required.
- Develop and facilitate learning solutions, workshops and bespoke interventions for a range of audiences with a particular capability to work with senior/executive leaders and Hi-potential employees.
- Design and establish benchmarks that measure the impact and effectiveness of learning and development programmes on business performance, and create corresponding enhancement plans.
- Produce and evaluate periodic reports that measure training usage and effectiveness.
- Build a strong network of relationships throughout the business to facilitate own business acumen to aid in understanding business learning needs and development of appropriate interventions.
- Prepare and manage the budget associated with assigned programmes and projects of responsibility.
- Act as trusted consultant in the design and successful implementation of Organisation Development and Effectiveness programmes and projects, taking the lead role or as part of a virtual team
- Assist with the development of Learning and Organisation Development strategic plans within ICON University
- Travel may be required (approximately 25 - 50%) domestic and/or international.
What you need
- BS, BSc, BA or equivalent in relevant discipline - Learning, Learning & Development, Education, Management, Psychology, HR or other.
- In depth proven experience in relevant discipline in Learning, Learning & Development, Education, Management, Psychology, HR or other
- Experience of instructional design is essential, including multi-platform learning design
- Demonstrates the ICON competencies, including Leadership competencies, as applicable
- Demonstrates excellent communication, learning, facilitation and coaching skills
- Ability to work as part of a remote global team and to train effectively with diverse audiences
- Ability to work effectively and efficiently with current learning and delivery technologies
- Demonstrates knowledge of current learning technologies and principles
- Proven ability to work with Senior leadership
- Prior experience conducting presentations or facilitating learning in English
- Fluent in English (written and oral)
