Lead Learning & Development Specialist
Location: Leopardstown, Dublin 18

At ICON, we have an incredible opportunity for a Lead Learning & Development Specialist to join the team in our global HQ in Dublin 18.
The Role:
Working as part of the global ICON University, the purpose of this role is, to lead the design and delivery of learning and development solutions to meet the identified needs of ICON's employees at all levels, enabling them to develop and grow as trusted partners to all our customers, external and internal.
- Act as trusted consultant within HR and to Business Leaders alike, in the diagnosis of needs and recommendation and development of requisite interventions in the context of the broader business goals and the existing Learning & Development Curriculum
- Partnering with the business to lead the diagnosis, design, and implementation of development interventions, with internal and external customers.
- Lead an assigned team of Learning & Development specialists to build and design training curriculum (including virtual and online) integrating adult learning theory into multi-platform training.
- Develop and facilitate learning solutions, workshops and bespoke interventions for a range of audiences with a particular capability to work with senior/executive leaders and Hi-potential employees
- Design and establish benchmarks that measure the impact and efficiency of learning and development programmes on business performance, and build corresponding improvement plans. Produce and evaluate periodic reports
- Identify and handle suitable external vendors, as appropriate, to develop and/ or facilitate learning interventions, thinking about bigger picture needs of the team
- Bring creativity and innovation in the learning & development space; apply outstanding practices/ programmes to develop, implement and monitor a suite of global interventions
- Prepare and handle the budget associated with assigned programmes and projects of responsibility
- Act as trusted consultant in the design and successful implementation of Organisation Development and Effectiveness programmes and projects, taking the lead role or as part of a virtual team
- Assist with the development of Learning and Organisation Development strategic plans within ICON University.
You will need:
- BS, BSc, BA or equivalent in relevant discipline - Training, Learning & Development, Education, Management, Psychology, HR or other.
- Experience within a similar role is required.
- Demonstrates the ICON competencies, including Leadership competencies, as applicable
- Demonstrates excellent communication, training, facilitation and mentoring skills
- Ability to effectively work independently, as well as part of a team and with a diverse group of individuals in an international context
- Ability to work effectively and efficiently with current learning and delivery technologies.
