This is an exciting opportunity to work within the Medical & Safety Services department at ICON, a leading global provider of outsourced development services to the pharmaceutical, biotechnology and medical device industries.  As a Medical Administrative Assistant, you will provide administrative support to all staff in the Medical & Safety Services department as part of the Medical Administration team.
 
Overview of the Role
  • Ensuring confidentiality, you will maintain efficient and accurate daily flow of documents in accordance with ICON SOPs and Sponsor SSPs, within stipulated timelines.  You will enter data into databases and assist in tracking department activities (eg. SAE tracking, CRF review) as appropriate.
  • You will assist the medical team in the preparation of routine correspondence, organisation of meetings and preparation of presentations/flow charts when required.
  • You will take/prepare/distribute minutes of meetings, coordinate department stationery, prepare/dispatch post items and undertake other reasonably related tasks as assigned from time to time.
Role Requirements
  • Appropriate academic qualifications (eg. secondary school/high school diploma or equivalent) and/or relevant office experience, preferably in a medical environment.
  • Computer experience, to include Word, Excel, Powerpoint and databases.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with meticulous attention to detail and strong organizational skills.  Fluent in English, with a second language desirable.
  • Team player with the ability to work independently.
