The role
We are currently seeking a Global Medical Communication (GMC) intern to join our diverse and dynamic team. As a GMC Intern you will provide administrative and project coordination support to assist in effective overall management of accounts and execution of deliverables, while gaining exposure to Medical Communications and Project Management.
What you will be doing
As a member of staff, the intern is expected to embrace and contribute to our culture of process improvement with a focus on streamlining our processes adding value to our business and meeting client needs.
Comply with company sanctioned processes for delivery of projects through adherence to best practices/SOPs and use of internal systems (for example Workzone/PlanView, SharePoint, iLearn) that enable efficient and effective execution.
Interacts with internal delivery teams including Content, Creative, Editorial, and other delivery operations members to assist project teams ensure projects are delivered on-time, on-budget to meet client expectations.
With guidance from senior staff, GMC Interns are expected to support the project coordination of assigned projects to ensure successful execution and outcome
Provides task-based project management support, assisting the Account Services team and wider delivery teams in meeting day-to-day tasks, including project routing and additional tasks as assigned.
Assist to keep team members informed and regularly updated on project status.
Assist in fulfilling client deliverables, including securing meetings and submissions requirements.
Coordinate and complete submission preparation and conduct follow-up as necessary.
Coordinate revisions.
Assist with task management in time-tracking and project management systems: Implements/Maintains Projects
Assist with internal/client status sheet including maintenance and updates.
Follow-up action items internally post meetings.
Awareness of client systems and compliance in use of these systems.
General understanding of other department best practices.
Support Manager, Project Management with tasks as assigned.
Your profile
Must be currently enrolled in a bachelor’s program. Currently a rising Junior or Senior standing.
Working knowledge of MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook
Excellent written, and oral communication.
This is a full-time office-based internship position, scheduled to begin on June 3rd, 2024, and conclude on August 9th, 2024.
