We are currently looking for a Medical Director specializing in Neurology to join our global Medical Affairs team.

Working in a fast-paced, client-focused global environment, our Medical Directors play a pivotal role in our project teams and our company. Your medical expertise will be called upon throughout the entire life cycle of a project including partnering with global Business Development for requests for information and attending bid defense meetings to raise our profile as the chosen partner for our clients for their projects.

The Tasks will Include:

• Medical Monitoring

• Support of Business Development opportunities as Therapeutic Expert in Neurology to win new projects, attend client calls, develop strategies and defend them in front of the client team during a Bid Defense Meeting

• Providing input into the creation of the protocol and other study-related documents

• Participating in discussions with regulators, key opinion leaders, senior management and our clients

• Delivering training to external project teams and ICON colleagues

• Reviewing medical data on the indication, inclusion / exclusion criteria and other medical issues to ensure our overall project deliverables are achieve

• Sharing your vast medical expertise at investigator meetings, kick-off meetings, and client face-to-face meetings

• Working closely with our Drug Safety teams to evaluate Serious Adverse Events and to develop Safety Management Plans, Pharmacovigilance Plans and Risk Management Plans

• Maintaining a strong consultative relationship with the client throughout the project life cycle

• A Medical Degree (MD) and board certification in Neurology

• Experience in Neurology is essential, ideally with experience in phase II-III studies either in industry or as an Investigator

• Experience with Psychiatric indications a plus

• Experience writing clinical study reports, poster presentations, and manuscripts for publication in a scientific journal is preferable

This position can be home based anywhere in Mexico.

Trabajando en un entorno global dinámico, ágil y orientado al cliente, nuestros Directores Médicos desempeñan un papel clave tanto en los equipos de proyecto como en la organización. Su experiencia médica será fundamental a lo largo de todo el ciclo de vida de los proyectos, incluyendo la colaboración con el equipo global de Desarrollo de Negocio en solicitudes de información y la participación en reuniones de defensa de propuestas (bid defense), con el objetivo de posicionarnos como el socio preferido de nuestros clientes.

Responsabilidades principales:

• Monitoreo médico de estudios clínicos

• Apoyo a oportunidades de Desarrollo de Negocio como experto terapéutico en Neurología, participando en llamadas con clientes, desarrollando estrategias y defendiéndolas durante reuniones de bid defense

• Contribución en la elaboración de protocolos y otros documentos relacionados con los estudios

• Participación en discusiones con autoridades regulatorias, líderes de opinión (KOLs), alta dirección y clientes

• Impartición de capacitaciones a equipos externos de proyecto y a colegas de ICON

• Revisión de datos médicos relacionados con la indicación, criterios de inclusión/exclusión y otros aspectos clínicos para asegurar el cumplimiento de los entregables del proyecto

• Presentación de información médica en reuniones de investigadores, reuniones de inicio de estudio y reuniones presenciales con clientes

• Colaboración estrecha con los equipos de Seguridad del Medicamento para la evaluación de Eventos Adversos Serios (SAEs) y el desarrollo de Planes de Manejo de Seguridad, Farmacovigilancia y Gestión de Riesgos

• Mantenimiento de una relación consultiva sólida con el cliente durante todo el ciclo de vida del proyecto

Requisitos:

En ICON plc, buscamos que nuestros colaboradores tengan éxito, brindándoles capacitación continua, desarrollo profesional y el apoyo necesario. Para tener éxito en esta posición, se requiere:

• Título de Médico (MD) con certificación en Neurología

• Experiencia en Neurología (indispensable), idealmente en estudios clínicos de fase II-III, ya sea en la industria o como investigador

• Experiencia en indicaciones psiquiátricas (deseable)

• Experiencia en la redacción de reportes de estudios clínicos, presentaciones en congresos y manuscritos para publicaciones científicas (deseable)

• Dominio del idioma inglés
