As a DBA III at ICON, you will contribute to our client services function, working collaboratively to deliver high-quality outcomes across our clinical programmes.

What You Will Do:

You will take responsibility for technical writing and documentation deliverables, applying your skills to ensure quality and efficiency.

Key responsibilities include:

• Oversee all Oracle Databases, including backup, security, patches, installations, and account administration. Conduct performance monitoring and tuning.
• Provide support and administration for Oracle-based applications and serve as an Oracle E-Business Suite APPS DBA.
• Develop, maintain, and follow industry-compliant SOPs, IQs, training materials, and documentation and review processes and proactively enhance efficiency.
• Monitor and optimize systems, providing performance statistics and reports.
• Ensure seamless integration of new developments with existing business systems.
• Ensure all database activities adhere to company SOPs.
• Actively participate in IT initiatives, taking ownership of key project tasks.

Your Profile:

You will bring relevant technical writing and documentation experience, along with the following qualifications and skills.

Required qualifications and experience:

• Experience : 8 to 12 years
• A bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred.
• Should have experience in Oracle backup, security, patches, installations, and account administration. Conduct performance monitoring and tuning.
• Provide support and administration for Oracle-based applications and serve as an Oracle E-Business Suite APPS DBA.
• Exposure to Ansible for database automation and operational tasks.
• Familiarity with automation and scripting to streamline database administration.
• Experience with MySQL, MongoDB, and SQL Server is a plus.
• Extensive Oracle Database management experience, including backups, security, patches, and installations.
• Proven expertise in administering Oracle-based application projects.
• Skilled in developing and maintaining SOPs, IQs, and industry-compliant documentation.
• Leadership in IT initiatives, taking ownership of key project tasks.
• Proven ability to mentor and foster an accountable attitude in junior staff.
• Experience in business continuity and disaster recovery planning.
• Willingness to travel as required (approximately 5%)
