Program Manager (Vaccines & Infectious Disease)

Are you a seasoned clinical research project management leader with experience directing vaccine or infectious disease programs and studies?

Program Manager (Vaccines & Infectious Disease) role at ICON:

As a Program Manager within our vaccines team, you will provide leadership to effectively coordinate and manage the activities of one or more large cross functional multinational studies or a program of studies and project teams in a manner that ensures all timeframes and targets are met and that costs are kept under control

Develop full service project plans for clinical trials or a program of studies and subsequently lead cross-functional study teams in accordance with contractual timelines, client specifications and Good Clinical Practices (GCP’s). Effectively manage study budgets to ensure financial targets are met through regular review of indirect costs and project resources. Provide coaching/mentoring to Project Managers (PM’s) and contribute to department training initiatives, as appropriate. Coordinate and manage the activities of individuals, studies and staff in a manner that ensures all timeframes and targets are met and that costs are kept under control.

Role Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree in medicine, science or equivalent degree and a qualification in Project Management or equivalent (PMI certification) is desirable. A minimum of 6 years of full service project management or 8 years of single service project management. Proven track record of successfully managing large & complex, global cross-functional projects with strong domestic and international project management experience. Willingness to travel up to 25% as needed.
