This is an excellent opportunity for a Senior Manager Business Development & Proposals with exposure to the clinical trials or pharmaceutical industry to play an implemental role in driving this organisation towards success.
Main Responsibilities:
- Follow up of oncology lead generation with the wider Sales and BD Team.
- Build relationships with key decision makers at clients and maintain a high level of understanding of the decision making process within all major Sponsors.
- Ensure that all proposal/contract details, clients' meetings, RFP information and relevant updates are captured and maintained within Devana/Sales force.
- Demonstrate Oncacare services according to client requests, determine the method and service that best meets the client needs.
- Contribute to the annual forecasting process in collaboration with the management team.
- Communicate regularly with operational project teams in order to secure the potential for repeat business and maximize opportunities for feedback.
- Assist in the preparation of price quotations, terms of sale, service/delivery dates according to company policy and within guidelines.
- Work on responding to RFIs, RFPs and presentations to clients.
- Prepare and attend the Bid Defence process.
- Achieve customer facing time (including internal sales/BD colleagues) of at least 30% of available time.
- Contribute as needed to the completion of projects in a timely manner within the specified budget
- Interact with internal and external personnel on projects that require coordination or collaboration of associates and clients
- Follow standard operating procedures in line with GCP, (ICH GCP and local regulations)
To be successful you will need:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree.
- 6 or more years of progressive experience in a business development role in Clinical Research.
- Must have experience in end to end proposal development with experience of both budgets and strategy in clinical research environment.
- Solid understanding of the principles of drug discovery and development.
- Highly proficient using Microsoft Office Suite: MS PowerPoint, MS Word, and MS Excel.
- Attention to detail and ability to work simultaneously on multiple priorities. Able to adapt and be flexible to changing priorities.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to travel.
