Senior Manager Patient Services/Engagement/Retention
We are growing our Direct to Patient Contact team in Europe and are looking for candidates passionate about Patient engagement!
Location: Spain (Barcelona), Poland (Warsaw), Ireland (Dublin) or United Kingdom (Marlow) (Flexible working)
ICON is a leading Global CRO specializing in the development of drugs and devices for the pharmaceutical industry that save lives and improve quality of life.
ICON's Direct to Patient Contact (DPC) department is providing services to enhance patient recruitment, retention and support in clinical studies. Our activities include direct interactions with patients including inbound and outbound contacts, study support, collection of data such as quality of life, compensations and reimbursements or travel concierge.
Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
In this role you will be responsible for leading, managing, organizing, and implementing projects within the Direct to Patient Contact (DPC) department and leading the project team and vendors throughout the study. You will also participate in the development of Request for proposals and strategic client meetings.
You would be responsible for writing and updating as appropriate a specific project plan and study documents for the direct to patient contact activities for patient recruitment and retention services, and manage the study master file.
You will manage goals, budget, resources, utilization rates, timelines, financial expenditures, and metrics related to DPC activity and ensure adequate training is provided.
Communication and building effective relationships is key in this role as you will act as the liaison between ICON and sponsor representatives for assigned studies and need to build relationships within this super team!
Education/Experience:
- Bachelor degree, preferably in a scientific discipline or health-related field
- A minimum 5 year experience in patient recruitment and retention activities or equivalent
- Significant Clinical Trial Management experience with an interest in Patient engagement or Patient Recruitment would be ideal
- Previous working experience in a Patient Engagement or Clinical Trial Management as project lead (preferably in a CRO or pharmaceutical industry)
- Experience in data privacy regulation is a plus
Knowledge/Skills/Attributes:
- Fluency in English with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Effective organisational, analytical, and time management skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work well within a matrix environment, able to provide leadership, facilitate teamwork, communication.
- Professional liaison skills for developing and maintaining successful partnership relationship with clients.
- Demonstrated ability to lead by example and successfully motivate and direct cross functional, culturally diverse projects and project teams.
- Excellent problem solving, judgment and decision making skills with the ability to motivate staff to seek creative solutions to issues surrounding on-time, on-budget and quality study delivery.
