The role:
Develop LC-MS methods for analysis of various modalities in clinically relevant biological fluids and tissues, including: plasma, urine and tumor tissues
Provide internal bioanalytical support for complex method development and troubleshooting
Collaborate cross-functionally with operational teams and clinical teams, as appropriate.
Interact with customers discussing issues that arise during development using supporting data.
To be successful in the role, you will have:
Bachelor’s degree in scientific field with 5-7 years of relevant industry experience
Masters degree in scientific field with 3-5 years of relevant industry experience
Ph.D. in Analytical or Bioanalytical Chemistry with 1-3 years of relevant experience
Additional Preferred Experience:
Relevant experience in industry setting with strong work planning, record keeping, and data analysis skills.
LC-MS instrumentation including triple-quadrupole (required) and high-resolution mass spectrometry (not required, but understanding of theory at a minimum is desired)
Experience with LC-MS based sample extraction approaches including protein precipitation, solid phase extraction, supported liquid extraction and immunoprecipitation methods
Experience with LC-MS based digestion procedures for peptides and proteins
Experience in large molecule bioanalytical analysis including implementation of new techniques (not required, but a general understanding of how ADA can be conducted with LC-MS/MS is desired) and troubleshooting assays.
LC-MS sample preparation workflows for peptide, protein, and oligonucleotide analysis
Immunoprecipitation methods
Familiarity with related systems and applications (LIMS, Watson, Analyst, Sciex MS platforms, Waters UPLC, Agilent UPLC, liquid handlers, Hamilton Star)
Excellent problem-solving skills and initiative
Proficient written and spoken English language skills including effective verbal communication
