The Role
In this position, you will be responsible for negotiating and finalising Clinical Trial Agreements and amendments with sites across Turkey. You will work closely with local site teams and ICON’s internal stakeholders to remove contracting barriers, protect ICON and client interests, and ensure studies progress according to planned timelines. Your ability to communicate clearly in both Turkish and English, manage risks, and maintain accurate contract documentation will be key to delivering successful site activation.
Key Responsibilities:
Negotiate and finalise CTAs and amendments with Turkish sites to enable timely site activation while ensuring full compliance with Turkish legislation, ICON SOPs, and client requirements.
Act as the primary contracting contact for Turkish sites, building strong relationships and ensuring clear, culturally appropriate communication throughout the contracting process.
Maintain proactive communication with internal teams to keep study stakeholders aligned on contracting progress, risks, and expected timelines.
Track the status of all contracts in ICON and client systems so that study teams have accurate visibility and can plan start-up activities effectively.
Identify potential risks or delays early and propose realistic mitigation strategies to protect study timelines.
Review all contract documents for accuracy and compliance, ensuring that agreements meet legal, financial, and operational standards specific to Turkey.
Collaborate cross-functionally with SSU, Legal, Regulatory, and Clinical Operations to ensure contract terms reflect site requirements and support smooth initiation.
Participate in study calls and internal meetings to align contracting work with overall study goals.
Maintain organised, audit-ready contract files in accordance with ICON and client requirements.
Support continuous improvement initiatives within the department and provide mentorship when needed.
Complete mandatory training and adhere to SOPs to ensure consistent, high-quality delivery.
What You Need
Bachelor’s degree.
3–6 years of experience in clinical research, site contracts, or a related field.
Fluency in both Turkish and English (written and spoken) is essential.
Strong understanding of Turkish site contracting practices and local regulatory expectations.
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with both internal teams and investigative sites.
Strong organisational skills and the ability to independently manage multiple priorities.
High attention to detail and confidence in managing site-facing negotiations.
