Bio
I’m an Accounts Payable Supervisor, having previously worked in Accounts Receivable as well as Payable before joining ICON over 13 years ago. I initially joined ICON as a temporary employee in the medical department and saw that everyone really enjoyed their jobs – I certainly didn’t initially expect to be here 13 years later. In that time, I’ve come to realise how strong the camaraderie and support is from all departments the Accounts Payable team works with – not just my own. It makes work really enjoyable to see people care about their job responsibilities as well as their relationship with co-workers.
I think that anybody who is team-orientated and has a good work ethic would fit in well at ICON. If you want a structured career progression too, then it’d be a great place to join: I started as an Accounts Payable Administrator, became a Team Leader and have been a Supervisor for the past five years now. The training benefits are excellent too – I’ve taken courses on diversity and Excel, amongst others – the mix between practical job training and soft skills allows you to really develop as a person. I enjoyed working on out Oracle Finance rollout in 2007, travelling to Dublin, Ireland, to work with their Project Team. If you are thinking of joining the Finance Team with ICON, I look forward to seeing you!
