Bio
I joined the clinical research industry seven years ago after graduating in Human Sciences. For almost three years, I’ve been working at ICON and I’m currently working as a Senior Clinical Research Associate (CRA) – it’s been a highly enjoyable experience so far. Before I joined ICON, I was aware of its size and relevance as a CRO and that it was motivated by developing and maintaining strong client relationships. The company vision fit in with my own and I was delighted to join – ICON has helped me excel as a CRA and through the company, I’ve been promoted to a Senior CRA.
Being a Senior CRA has been made easier by having an excellent team around me – working together is critical to succeeding in clinical research and my CRAM and clinical teams are both of a high calibre. Their competencies across the board have enabled us all to excel and I’ve been able achieve my own personal career objectives as a result.
Working for ICON has been a great platform of growth for me – I mentor entry level CRAs and am involved in team training exercises which are an excellent way to hone my presentation and team-building skills. As I said, I’ve moved up to a Senior CRA with ICON and am talking with my managers about my progression towards becoming a Lead CRA which would be a great step for me. I’m excited by the opportunities that I’ve been given here and am keen to take advantage of them and continue my progress in clinical research.
