Director, Clinical Operations in Osaka, Japan

About the Director Clinical Operations role within ICON: 
 
The Director Clinical Operations will be responsible for resourcing, line management, training, functional delivery, providing high quality measurements within the Clinical Operations group at country level and collaborating with the Senior Director, Vice President, and above.  Lead the overall delivery, through your management team, to drive execution of service, client satisfaction, quality and efficiencies.
 
The Director Clinical Operations will provide overall budgeting responsibilities for your country to drive productivity and quality within the region.  Communicate with the Senior Director and/or VP Clinical Operations on all critical issues and business growth opportunities.
 
Work closely with Business Development to support the growth of the country and provide regional/client based knowledge to achieve success and be the key contact for the country in regard to operational questions and escalations.

To succeed you will need:
 
You will have a Bachelor’s degree (or local equivalent) or relevant experience in clinical research along with a minimum of 7 years’ experience in clinical trials, background in Operations and in Project Management.
 
You must have good understanding of Project Management life cycle, client relationship management, good commercial awareness and customer focus, highly developed problem solving skills, able to work as team leader and individually on multiple client projects, ability to multi-task, excellent organizational, documentation and communication skills, business computer skills, and trained in Good Clinical Practices
