Director, Partnership, Setup and Support

The Director of Partnership, Setup and Support will develop the construction of new alliance framework, ICON implementation toolkit, and other supporting materials for the ICON future strategic alliance implementation offering under the department head’s strategic direction. The downstream of the department and the role is to ensure successful delivery by setting up the partnership infrastructure as robustly as possible to mitigate potential risks.

This role requires ensuring timeframes and milestones are met, costs are managed where applicable, and issues are mitigated and escalated as appropriate

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Contribute as needed to current strategic alliance needs relating to operating manuals, governance structures, lessons learned, risk analysis, or other key activities 

• Implement new alliances as assigned by department head from award through “business as usual”, or staff on the ground, trained, working in the model 

• Work as needed and assigned on internal ICON initiatives which tie to the improvement and advancement of current or future strategic partnerships 

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or local equivalent, in health sciences or related discipline.

• In depth proven experience in Project Management, clinical research and drug development.

• Prior experience in a CRO, Biotechnology or Pharmaceutical company.

• 5-7 years working in a leadership role within key partnership structures, inclusive of operational delivery

• Previous experience in a leadership position setting up key strategic partnerships

• Track record of successful global and regional leadership across studies and portfolios

• Previous track record in successful training capabilities and managing change

• Strong organizational and communication skills which allow for matrixed management across the ICON organization

• Strong leadership skills, including management across multiple roles

• Good interpersonal skills and the ability to appropriately interface with all levels of management
