We are currently seeking a Director, Project Management to join our diverse and dynamic team. As Director of Project Management in Early Patient Solutions (EPS) at ICON’s Early Clinical and Bioanalytical division (IEB), you will lead the delivery of complex Phase I multi-country patient studies conducted across 10–15 sites. A key responsibility includes shaping operational strategy during the proposal phase and preparing and guiding cross-functional teams through bid defense meetings to secure new business. You will contribute to the successful management of cross-functional teams and ensure that projects are completed on time, within scope, and aligned with organizational goals

What You Will Be Doing:

• Line management of ~ 10 IEB EPS project managers in Europe.
• Driving the development and execution of project management strategies to enhance efficiency and effectiveness in clinical trial operations.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify project objectives, timelines, and resource requirements.
• Overseeing project progress, managing risks, and implementing solutions to ensure timely and successful delivery.
• Providing strategic guidance on project prioritization, stakeholder communication, and alignment with broader organizational objectives.
• Establishing partnerships with external stakeholders to facilitate project success and share best practices in project management.

Your Profile:

• Advanced degree in a relevant field such as life sciences, business administration, or project management.
• Extensive experience in project management within the clinical research or healthcare sectors.
• Strong leadership skills and proven ability to manage cross-functional teams in a collaborative environment.
• Expertise in project management methodologies and tools, with a focus on delivering results.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and drive change in a complex organization.
• Experience in early-phase clinical development is a strong plus, but not a strict requirement.
