At ICON, we have an incredible opportunity for a Financial Analyst II to join the team in our Leopardstown, Dublin 18 location.

About the role:

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work in an exciting and fast paced role where they will partner and collaborate with the ICON Operations team to truly drive and influence the financial performance of the company.

Role responsibilities include:

The successful candidate will provide financial analysis to Operational & Finance management on the historical financial performance and future outlook of a key service line within the Clinical Research Services Division (CRS). The successful candidate will use their strong analysis skills and relationships with internal stakeholders to develop a deep understanding of the service line, form an opinion on the short, medium and long term financial outlook of the portfolio and identify future financial risk/opportunity.

• Support the preparation of monthly financial forecasts and budget reconciliations
• Identification of key Revenue and Margin drivers within the portfolio
• Support the preparation of monthly financial forecast, pre close review of revenue and budget reconciliations
• Build strong working relationships with the CRS Project Management group
• Utilize and disseminate operational metrics and trend to drive and improve financial performance
• Preparation of monthly reporting packs with astute commentary, analysis and identified actions
• Support the development and preparation of the annual budget
• Prepare ad-hoc financial and business case analysis as well as commercial scenarios

The Candidate:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

• Bachelor's Degree
• Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA,CIMA)
• 1-2 years PQE, prior financial business partnering or financial analysis experience desirable
• Excellent communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills
• Excellent organizational skills and ddemonstrate an ability to manage own work in an efficient manner and to work with a high degree of own initiative
• Analytically minded, with proven ability to own and solve problems
• Ability to collaborate with a large team and influence a variety of personnel across the organization including senior management groups
• Very strong focus on accuracy and quality of information provided; attention to detail
• Excellent working knowledge of MS Excel and Powerpoint
• Power BI knowledge preferred but not essential
