Image Data Processing Technologist - Chennai

As an Image Data Processing Technologist at ICON, you will be responsible for the processing, quality control, and management of imaging data to support clinical trials.
What You Will Do:
You will take responsibility for process improvement and operational excellence deliverables, applying your skills to ensure quality and efficiency.
Key responsibilities include:
- Performing image data processing tasks such as reconstruction, formatting, anonymisation, and standardisation using validated tools and procedures.
- Conducting quality control checks on imaging data to ensure completeness, protocol adherence, and technical acceptability.
- Collaborating with project teams, imaging scientists, and site personnel to resolve image quality issues and data discrepancies.
- Maintaining detailed records of processing activities and ensuring traceability in line with regulatory and sponsor requirements.
- Supporting the setup and validation of imaging workflows, software, and study-specific parameters.
- Contributing to process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, automation, and data quality in imaging operations.
Your Profile:
You will bring relevant process improvement and operational excellence experience, along with the following qualifications and skills.
Required qualifications and experience:
- Degree or technical qualification in radiologic technology, biomedical engineering, medical imaging, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Experience working with medical imaging modalities (e.g., MRI, CT, PET, X-ray) in a clinical, research, or imaging core lab environment.
- Familiarity with DICOM standards, imaging software tools, and basic image analysis concepts.
- High attention to detail, with a strong focus on accuracy, documentation, and data integrity.
- Good problem-solving and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across technical and non-technical teams.
- Comfort working with computer-based systems and willingness to learn new imaging platforms and technologies.
