Laboratory Support Coordinator

ICON plc, a leading Contract Research Organisation, employing approximately 13,500 employees across 97 offices in 38 countries, seeks an experienced and highly motivated Laboratory Support Coordinator to join the lab at its Leopardstown Global HQ. 

The Role:

As Laboratory Support Coordinator, you will play an important part in supporting the lab team in all administrative duties which helps them achieve high quality results.

Responsibilities will include:

• Assisting the Laboratory Operations Director with quality monitoring for the lab which includes maintaining employee and lab records.
• Scheduling meetings and taking meeting minutes, distribution of mail, operational reports, ordering stationary and assisting with projects.
• Data entry for clinical trials.
• Filing and archiving of all laboratory data.
• Data entry of specimen results.
• Assisting with inventory logs and counts.
• Participates in required Continuous Professional Education Programs which include conferences, internal Journal Club and lectures.
• Ad hoc duties.

Experience requirements:

• Leaving Certificate / equivalent
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in an administrative role
• Excellent Microsoft Office and Outlook
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
• Action orientated – takes ownership of your role and responsibilities
• Demonstrates a high level of personal integrity and ethical behaviour
