The successful candidate will
be responsible for partnering with internal customers and key stakeholders to
lead the design , development and facilitation of effective learning
interventions aimed at addressing identified individual, team and
organisation-wide performance gaps across all levels of the organization; with
a special focus on clinical training enablement.
Job Functions / Responsibilities:
- Create and execute a Learning & Development strategy and annual priorities/ plan for own functional area,
- Develop and implement a global plan of development interventions targeting all employees using multiple methodologies and platforms, leveraging the 70/20/10 development framework.
- Lead a team of L&D managers and specialists in the operationalization of the strategy and plan – with a global focus
- Mentor and coach team members to ensure the continuous development of a strong pipeline of Learning & Development and HR professionals
- Facilitate forums, workshops, advisory boards and other interventions across the company, fostering a culture of learning at ICON
- Establish key metrics and analytics to facilitate strategic decisions and to measure ROI impact of L&D/ OD programmes, interventions and approaches.
- Partner with leaders across the organisation to provide thought leadership, consultation, coaching and project management support for key strategic L&D and OD initiatives.
- Proactively address and respond to issues by bringing key stakeholders together to assess root causes and performance gaps, implementing and/ or supporting the implementation of appropriate interventions.
- Prepare and manage a budget that demonstrates Return on Investment through a dashboard of KPIs.
- Provide proactive consultative services and value added recommendations for the business in partnership with HR Leadership.
- Proactively work with the ICON University Senior Management team in the creation of the broader ICON University strategy
Experience, Skills & Knowledge requirements:
- In depth proven experience in relevant discipline in Learning & Development or Education; ideally within a high volume/clinical training environment
- Proven experience in managing a geographically dispersed team of managers and learning professionals
- Proven experience in leading a learning & development function
- Experience of leading in a matrix or global organisation and previous experience in a clinical environment would be a distinct advantage
- Understands enterprise-level transformational programmes and has experience developing effective change management plans / OD interventions to address needs.
- Significant experience in leading large scale organizational change efforts
- Exceptionally strong facilitation and communication skills, both written and verbal, across all organizational functions and levels
- Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
- Strong analytic, decision making abilities and collaborative skills/ team player.
- Ability to successfully partner with and work through others.
- Travel required (up to 20%)
Educational
Requirements:
Post Graduate
degree or local equivalent in relevant discipline in Learning &
Development, Education, Management, Psychology, HR or other.
