Job Summary
This position is responsible for programming surveys, management and integration of survey and 3rd party data, basic analysis, management of proprietary databases supporting market research and strategic analytics including but not limited to ICON'sproprietary databases, the database of managed care executives and professionals. Responsibilities include survey programming, data processing, analysis and tabulation, database platform, functionality and content of database(s). Responsible for liaison and collaboration with other DBAs and departments within the company and assisting Senior Management in all database related decisions. Qualified candidates must have experience/knowledge of programming language, database platforms such as SQL or Oracle, survey platforms such as Qualtrics, and knowledge of managed care.
Job Responsibilities
- Program online surveys and registration forms
- Manage survey data, quality checks and validation, data processing, basic analysis
- Manage day-to-day activities around proprietary databases
- Lead improvements for proprietary databases
- Improve user interface and provide appropriate controls for database access by users and ensure integrity of content
- Manage and maintain database content including clean-up and refresh of current data and identification and integration of new data
- Responsible for database-related training and communication to account teams and other users
- Partner and coordinate with IT and developers as required
- Develop long-term strategy for proprietary databases as a corporate asset and resource

Validates the quality of the data before engaging in analysis. Quality check of own work.
Composes outputs in a highly consumable state, with clear messaging. It is also the manager's responsibility to ensure the work provided by analysts meets the same high standards.
Delivers all metrics & analysis in accordance with established timelines and/or contractual requirements.
Ideal candidate will have:
- BS/BA required
- Advanced degree in relevant field or 3-5 years experience in managed care and database administration preferred
- Technical skills
- Intermediate knowledge of MS office applications
- Experience with programming languages
- Experience with database platforms such as SQL, Oracle, Access
- Experience with Qualtrics or similar online survey platform
- Experiences with statistical software such as SPSS and R
- Knowledge of managed care and pharmaceutical industry
- Experience in market research and survey methods
- Business acumen
- Strong oral and written communication skills
