Operations Data Manager

Locations: Dublin, UK, Paris, Strasbourg or Madrid

Role Brief

ICON’s mission is to help our customers accelerate the development of drugs and devices that save lives and improve the quality of life. The Operations Data Manager role will be responsible for leading, developing, and engaging a team of exceptional talent that makes exceptional delivery possible; one of your main focuses will be motivating, developing and mentoring your team. This role needs to be able to interpret big data, and deliver meaningful results that drive productivity and efficiency. You will be in a fast-paced environment with direct impact on our key deliverables. You will be expected to balance strategic thinking with detailed execution and cross-functional collaborative results-oriented work.

People Management Responsibilities:

Lead a team of 15+ employees; responsible for the overall deliverables and performance of the team.
Create a culture focusing on accountability, transparency and collaboration.
Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with ICONs values and standards.
Additional responsibilities include hiring, training and motivating employees; planning, assigning and directing work; and effective conflict resolution.
Effectively partner and build productive working relationships with direct reports, peers, leadership, and cross functionally.
Manage the career growth and development of team members by driving focus on Career and Personal Development.
Responsible for creating a coaching culture across the site where formal and informal coaching opportunities are availed of.
Understanding and correctly utilizing resources provided by internal systems, departments, policies, and procedures.
Developing and achieving performance goals and objectives in order to achieve throughout targets.
Driving creation of staffing plans, schedules, quality initiatives, and process change initiatives.

Candidate requirements:

Bachelor’s degree
5+ years experience in operations-related work with increasing responsibility
Proven experience as a People Leader (2 years minimum)
Experience with project management
Significant Data Management Experience

Preferred Qualifications:

Direct experience in operations and efficiency
Experience working with remote teams
Strong communication and presentation skills
Experience leading and motivating a diverse workforce
