Position Overview:

Join our team as a Strategic Sourcing Analyst and play a pivotal role in ensuring efficient vendor selection, contract negotiation, and ongoing vendor relationship management. You will collaborate closely with project teams, vendors, and stakeholders to drive success in our procurement processes.

Key Responsibilities:

Vendor Quotes:

  • Review and maintain the Global Supplier List to ensure the utilization of approved vendors.
  • Provide recommendations to project teams based on vendor capabilities, systems, and processes.
  • Analyze vendor capabilities and make recommendations for vendor selection as necessary.
  • Ensure timely and accurate vendor quotes based on agreed rates and specifications.
  • Address vendor inquiries promptly and provide support for complex project issues resolution.
  • Keep the vendor quote database updated weekly and communicate outcomes of proposals to vendors.
  • Mentor entry-level Procurement Analysts to ensure their professional growth.

Vendor Contracts/Purchase Orders:

  • Coordinate the vendor Statement of Work (SOW) process and ensure SOW execution before project commencement.
  • Collaborate with project teams and legal to finalize SOWs with appropriate specifications and terms.
  • Conduct quality checks on vendor SOWs to ensure compliance with ICON standards.
  • Secure spend and project level approvals before contract signature.
  • Manage multiple contracts and quotes simultaneously, adapting to changing timelines and priorities.
  • Develop and maintain vendor/project files, systems, and tracking tools.
  • Take ownership of assigned vendor categories and foster ongoing communication with stakeholders.
  • Continue to mentor entry-level Procurement Analysts to foster their growth.

Communication:

  • Maintain clear and direct communication with project teams, vendors, and stakeholders regarding the status of quotes/SOWs and any required actions or deliverables.

Process Improvement and Metrics:

  • Actively contribute to our culture of process improvement, focusing on streamlining processes and adding value to our business.
  • Provide recommendations for process improvements and deliver training to the Procurement Analyst team or wider business as needed.
  • Analyze analyst team/vendor metrics and implement changes based on final analysis.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
  • Proven experience in vendor management, procurement, or related role.
  • Strong understanding of procurement processes, vendor negotiation, and contract management.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and procurement software.
  • Experience mentoring or training junior team members is a plus.
