At ICON, we have an incredible opportunity for an expert Product Manager to join the IT Operations team in either our Dublin or Limerick offices.

The Role

As Product Manager, it is your responsibility to develop and get buy from key stakeholders for all-round product strategies. You will lead all aspects of a product - from providing a vision, strategy, market research, road-maps, business models, through to life-cycle management and backlog development and requirements definition.

This includes product feasibility assessment, incorporating feedback from stakeholders, prioritizing those items, costing them, and tracking them from the complete Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) through to the delivery of products into pilots, demonstration, and production environments.

• Build 360 degree views of core products incorporating vision, strategy, market research, roadmaps, business models, through to lifecycle management and backlog development
• Partner with key stakeholders in the business to gather and prioritize requirements across the business for optimal product development
• Ensure that requirements are measurable and achievable taking input from key stakeholders to include features, quality, robustness, performance, and user experience impacts.
• Identify value propositions for our products and ensure that any enhancements in the roadmap align to those value propositions
• Responsible for the launch of the end product ensuring all operational elements are fully tested, piloted and ready for launch
• Lead the technical input to RFI/RFP responses and represent ICON in business development activities as required
• Support best practice, seek customer feedback, implement corrective actions and exploit opportunities for cost reduction and continuous improvement within the Clinical Trial space
• Build and maintain effective working relationships with Sponsors and business stakeholders to ensure that the team delivers new products that drive revenue growth within ICON
• Establish and maintain regular communication with teams, set personal development objectives and give performance feedback in order to create a high performing culture
• Provide input into the strategy and vision for Clinical Research and Development based on experiences with stakeholders, industry knowledge, and insights garnered from publications.
• Provide input to case studies from pilot experiences.
• Define and document requirements in common backlog such that they can be realized by the software team
• Review with a view to approving or rejecting design output
• Some travel may be involved with this role.

What you need

• Degree / Master's Degree qualified
• Technical background (Science / Engineering)
• 5+ years' experience within a product role
• Experience working with Scrum / Agile methodologies would be beneficial but not essential
• Experience working within a regulated environment would be nice to have
• Proven team member with a great communication style both written and verbally
• Superior organisational skills and comfortable leading projects to delivery dates
