Research Associate I

Responsible for completion of experiments and written assignments as required by the R&D department, for the purpose of developing, optimizing, and validating novel cell-based methods for implementation in clinical trial testing.

-Perform research assignments in the lab. 75% of the time.

-Works to develop new assays. 10% of the time.

-Collaborate with the R&D team to present publications and marketing material. 5% of the time.

-Prepares reagents as needed, maintains quality control records, compiles any required statistical data and maintains the cleanliness of work areas. 5% of the time.

-Reports to Director of R&D for evaluation of work performance. 2% of the time.

-Responsible for the performance of required manual procedures and operation of automated instrumentation. 2% of the time.

-Reports to and is responsible to the Technical Director for daily operation. 1% of the time.

• Educational Requirements
  • Bachelors’ degree in one of the Sciences or equivalent
• Experience Required
  • More than two years of laboratory experience*.
•  Desirable – Certification from American Society of Clinical Pathologists.
•  Ability to lift 5-10 pounds.
