Job Title: Research Consultant (Statistics), Modelling and Evidence Synthesis

Type: Permanent, Full Time

Mapi wishes to appoint a Research Consultant to provide technical expertise to the Modelling and Evidence Synthesis department.

The position:

This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious researcher in health economic modelling, biostatistics, health services research or a related quantitative subject who is looking to develop his or her international career in health economics and outcomes research.

Responsibilities:

Your role will be exciting and varied; you will be involved in a variety of tasks, including:

•          Evidence synthesis (meta-analyses, indirect treatment comparisons and network meta-analyses, matching adjusted indirect comparisons);
•          Assessing the feasibility of performing evidence synthesis based on gathered evidence;
•          Assisting with systematic literature reviews;
•          Preparation of protocols, final reports and results slide decks;
•          Writing of HTA submission documents;
•          Develop project proposals, and identify new business opportunities and suggest relevant methodologies in a proactive manner;
•          Client communication via email, phone, and in person;
•          Acting as an internal consultant to the research team
•         Preparing relevant publications (manuscripts, posters and presentations for conferences) and contributing to methodological developments in the field. 

• A Master's degree or PhD in bio(statistics) or a related discipline;
• Strong proven experience in consulting, the pharmaceutical industry, or academia. 
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, as well as an established ability to work independently or as part of a team;
• High level of organizational and project management skills combined with demonstrated self-motivation, business sense, sound judgement and an analytical approach;
• Proficiency in planning and motivating others as well as superior interpretative and innovative thinking skills.
• Thorough technical understanding of evidence synthesis methods
• Excellent command of statistical programs such as SAS, R, WinBUGS
