Are you interested in assisting in the day-to-day activities of the analytical laboratory including responsibility for developing and performing assays on biological samples from pre-clinical and clinical trials? We currently have several Scientist positions available in our Whitesboro NY facility.
 
Scientist role within ICON: 
 
ICON has a strong reputation in our approaches to clinical development.   We apply scientific and operational excellence across all phases of clinical trial outsourcing services for our clients.   We work with top pharmaceutical organizations on emerging therapeutic areas which include but are not limited to Oncology, Diabetes, CNS, Cardiovascular and Pain.  We are presently in over 40 countries with over 80 offices worldwide and over 13K employees globally. 
 
The Scientist will perform bioanalytical/chemical method development duties under supervision and method validation for the quantification of Biomarkers, New Chemical and Biological Entities in tissues, biological fluids or chemical matrices. Perform assays for routine batch analysis of Biomarkers, NCE and NBE in biological fluids/chemical matrix involving simple to complex analytical techniques. Perform laboratory work to FDA and international regulatory GLP and GCP standards.

To succeed you will need:
We are seeking candidates with a Bachelor’s in Biology, Chemistry, Biotechnology or Medical Technology.
 
To be successful you will be expected to maintain high quality in a fast paced and collaborative environment, have excellent written and verbal communication skills, including presentation of data, and author technical and regulatory documents.  Hands-on experience with ligand binding assay formats and platforms such as standard absorbance ELISA, Meso Scale Discovery electrochemiluminescence, or LC/MS-MS instrumentation and extraction procedures; as well as familiarity with automated platforms such as Grifols Triturus, Tecan or Gyrolab is desired.
