ICON plc, a leading Clinical Research Organisation employing approximately 14,500 employees across 97 offices in 38 countries, seeks a highly motivated Investigator Payments Systems Senior Manager to join our Finance Department.
You will join a professional and experienced IPG team focused on making an impact globally and supporting ICON's mission - to help its clients accelerate the development of drugs and medical devices that save patient lives and improve their quality of life.
Position Summary:
The Investigator Payments Group (IPG) works closely with other ICON departments to facilitate timely and accurate delivery of investigator payments in accordance with executed contracts and adhering to ICON policies and procedures, for all studies where ICON is contracted to conduct these services.
As the Investigator Payments Systems Senior Manager, you will be responsible for the coordination and management of the IPG Systems Team. Representing ICON at Client meetings and acting as a subject matter expert for IPG.
What will you be doing day to day?
- Contribute to projects leading to efficiency of processes and improvement in the effectiveness of the group.
- Lead and provide accountability for the quality of system setup/revision work conducted by the systems analyst team, ensuring adherence to IPG processes & procedures and audit-readiness.
- Actively participate in training and/or mentoring junior team members.
- Represent ICON and IPG as a subject matter expert (SME) in front of clients, and potential clients, pertaining to the setup and use of ICON systems to achieve end to end investigator payment processing.
- Monitor team performance and provide metrics reporting.
- Review, analyse, and evaluate business systems and user requests/need.
- Document detailed description of user needs, program functions, and steps required to setup/modify a computer system.
- Document report requirements and partner with IT developers to test reports that support investigator payments and clinical trial decision-making.
- Assist with tasks within the system development lifecycle including activities surrounding User Assessment Testing (UAT).

- Specific experience leading process improvement or application development projects toward on time delivery of project tasks
- A natural problem-solver with an aptitude to make objective decisions for the business.
- Customer focussed with a skill to develop excellent working relationships.
- Strong time-management skills with an ability to handle multiple projects and deliver on time
- Experience assessing development needs and assisting to coach/develop team members.
- Prior relevant experience related to Clinical trials and Clinical applications is preferred
