Senior Manager, Market Research

We are looking for a Senior Manager, Market Research to join our winning team rated by Forbes as America’s best mid-size employer for 2017!

The Senior Manager, Market Research will be responsible for taking personal ownership for client delivery, assisting in business development activities and supporting company growth initiatives.  Take an active leadership role in analytic and market research projects including the development of project plans and the management of a project to the plan. They are responsible for successfully meeting project timing and the quality of deliverables.

The Senior Manager, Market Research participates in the development and implementation of primary and secondary research tools including but not limited to the creation of qualitative research discussion guides, quantitative research survey guides, and the collection and distillation of data from these tools. Secondary research will be conducted using various databases and data sets from a variety of sources used to assess real world markets and the creation of models for targeting, segmentation, resource allocation and financial analysis. All data from these processes will need to be distilled down into actionable and relevant data typically transferred to PowerPoint slides. The Manager / Senior Manager will participate in this work and oversee the work of others – including managing the input of junior and senior staff- in a collaborative manner. Additional work may include supportive efforts for advisory boards, and ad hoc supportive work for other practices. Outputs from this work are the final deliverables to our customer base. This position will have high visibility to both internal and external customers, and will actively manage team-oriented discussions and decisions.

• Knowledge and understanding of the fundamental process of pharmaceutical commercial business, their interaction, and the impact of internal/external influences on decision-making
• Industry experience in  primary market research, market analytics, market insights, multichannel marketing, forecasting, predictive modeling
• An understanding of managed care and the payer hierarchy
• Prior experience and working knowledge of available healthcare data sources including formulary access and volume
• Demonstrated knowledge of access and reimbursement
• Demonstrated excellence in the quality of deliverables
• Demonstrated excellence in clarity and completeness or oral, written and presentation skills
• Demonstrate skills in coaching and development of staff
• Demonstrated skills in client communications
• Able to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Able to achieve client comfort as an expert in data analytics or primary market research
• Able to generate new or follow on business with clients with help from senior ICO management
