Payroll Associate – Japanese & English

Location: Dublin

ICON plc, a leading Clinical Research Organisation, employing approximately 13,500 employees across 97 offices in 38 countries, seeks an ambitious and highly motivated Payroll Associate to join its Finance Department at its Leopardstown Global HQ.

This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious and hardworking Payroll Associate to assist in the payroll cycle for ICON Plc on a global scale.

The Role:

Responsible for ensuring payroll inputs to 3rd party payroll vendors are completed and that trial and final payroll outputs are checked prior to salary payments being made. Liaising with external payroll providers and internal departments, such as HR and Finance Ensure internal controls are implemented so that monthly changes are captured and processed accurately and that any differences are reconciled and explained. Upload electronic files and input any manual payments to the bank manage the Payroll mailbox to ensure queries are answered in a timely manner and filed appropriately. Ensure that all monthly and annual tax, pension and compliance requirements are met. Provide timely and accurate reporting to internal and external auditors. Work as part of Payroll team to ensure that all processes are as efficient as possible, detailed on the system appropriately and SOX Compliant. Any other reasonable duties that may be defined by the payroll manager from time to time.

The Candidate:

Fluent in both Japanese & English. Experience of EMEA Payroll processes and working with payroll vendors (preferable but not essential). Proven experience of working in a fast paced environment Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal abilities with an emphasis on customer service. Ability to work to deadlines, to strict deadlines with a high volume of transactions. Attention to detail with excellent numerical and analytical skills. Diligent team colleague, Proficient user of the Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel Positive and dedicated approach to work, able to work on own initiative Good organization skills.
