Using your excellent client facing and business development skills, are you an innovative and dynamic leader who will drive the revenue, strategy and growth in our Pricing & Market Access business?

 

ICON Pricing and Market Access (ICON P&MA) is a consultancy team, part of Icon Plc, with a long heritage of providing its clients with strategic guidance in the development and implementation of pricing and market access strategy.  In addition, as part of the broader ICON organisation, ICON P&MA often works alongside colleagues in Health Economics and with ICON’s clinical experts to support clients in demonstrating and communicating the value of their products. 

 

The Pricing & Market Access group generates the most valuable recommendations for pricing products to ensure you can understand and implement necessary strategies to bring your products to market effectively. By delivering robust value strategies, designing efficient pricing and market access infrastructures and processes, and providing tailored client training, you will be prepared to act on any value-based pricing activities. The unique strategic approach to P&MA combines experiential assessment with rigorous quantitative analysis and research.

 

Icon Plc is a global provider of outsourced development services to the pharmaceutical, biotechnology and medical device industries. We specialize in the strategic development, management and analysis of programs that support Clinical Development – from compound selection to Phase I - IV clinical studies.

 

The key focus for this senior position will be to drive the growth of Icon P&MA along with creating a culture of process improvement with a focus on streamlining our processes adding value to our business and meeting client needs. Provide support to the P&MA Senior Management Team in implementing business strategies. Lead project delivery of medium to large sized domestic and international projects. Lead discussions with sensitive market stakeholders. Lead client communications such as project status, client meetings and final presentations. Achieve high client satisfaction and repeat engagements.  Also demonstrate and actively promote an open and honest working environment to encourage close teamwork, foster knowledge transfer, and provide clear direction to all employees.

 

Role Requirements

  • Minimum of 6 years of experience working in a health care consultancy or Pharmaceutical/Biotech commercial strategy experience, ideally in pricing, reimbursement or product valuation
  • Industry experience (pricing, forecasting, more general commercial strategy), managed care or reimbursement policy, consulting or related experience (strategy consulting to healthcare industry, market research) that supplements an advanced degree.
  • Able to generate new or follow up on business with clients with help from senior management.
  • Prior experience managing a team and mentoring junior staff members is required. In order to travel we may require a valid driver’s license and the willingness to travel up to 20% when needed.
