We have an incredible opportunity for a Senior Project Manager to join our consultancy group within ICON Global Health Economics and Outcomes Research (GHEOR) group
Location:
Office or home-based position in the US or Canada.
Role Summary
As Senior Project Manager, you will play a key role within ICON by ensuring overall client happiness. You will be our client's main contact for GHEOR services and providing day-to-day management of studies.
As a trusted partner, you will attend client meetings to provide project updates. You will also be actively involved in training and mentoring junior members of the team.
As Senior Project Manager you will mainly lead complex projects within Patient Centered Outcomes (PCO). PCO is part of ICON plc, a leading global Clinical Research Organization headquartered in Dublin, Ireland. Our PCO group undertakes consultancy projects for international clients in both the pharmaceutical and medical device sectors, supporting late-phase clinical trials.
The work of the PCO group focuses on patient-centered research, including health related quality of life, disease signs and symptoms, treatment preference, adherence and satisfaction. The group is respected globally for the quality and innovation of their applied qualitative and quantitative work. Much of their work involves Clinical Outcome Assessment (COA) endpoint/instrument selection and regulatory support; COA instrument development and psychometric validation; study design, analysis and interpretation; COA quantitative analysis; utility measurement; and patient preference studies.
Highlights of Key Responsibilities:
Manage and coordinate medium and complex local and international projects/programs involving external and internal stakeholders
Effectively monitor and report on progress of the project to all stakeholders
Support the assigned department or functional team through the independent management of assigned projects and tasks.
Works closely with other members of the project team, client, clinical/scientific teams, and internal and external clients and vendors worldwide for successful project execution.
Implement QC activities as necessary and monitor relevant metrics
Ensure that proper guidelines for communication are set at study start-up and maintained throughout a study by creating and updating the study specific communication and escalation plan.
Responsible for financial management of the project budget
Set the timelines for and monitor the progress of the project
Attend and represent ICON at, Kick-Off Meeting, Bid Defense's or Initiations.
Develop new tools,
Train new employees& mentor junior staff
Actively contributes to process improvements
What you will need:
3-5 years' work experience in project management within a CRO or pharma company leading local and international medium /complex projects.
Have a Degree in a Life Sciences or related discipline.
Customer focused with the ability to build excellent rapport with business partners.
Experience in attending Bid Defence's.
Strong problem-solving and proactive decision-making capabilities
Quality and detail-oriented.
Strong organization and multitasking skills.
Ability to tailor project planning tools to meet client needs and research (or project) strategy.
Demonstrable ability to work independently and lead complex projects
Ability to clearly present instructions, negotiate pricing and address issues with suppliers and internal and external stakeholders on a global scale.
