Senior Software Engineer - ETL / ODI

•  Design, configure, implement, unit test and maintain Oracle ODI Integration solutions 
• Ensure a focus on information/data quality by adhering to enterprise data standards such as a common business vocabulary, naming conventions, data standards, transformation rules and related specifications
• A technical lead for Oracle ODI Integration solutions, who liaises and provides technical direction and guidance to ICONs Chennai development teams
• Implement solutions compliant with ICONs software engineering practices, guidelines, principles and enterprise architecture
• Contribute to the continual improvement of ICONs software engineering practices, guidelines, principles and enterprise architecture
• Create reference implementations, patterns and programming standards
• Contribute to and guide the creation of a highly available WebLogic production environment and build test and release framework
• Help drive the adoption of the Oracle ODI Integration stack in ICON
• Lead code reviews, process improvement and mentor other team members
• Provide technical support, mentoring, training and guidance to developers

Required Experience, Skills, Knowledge 

• Minimum of 3 years of relevant IT industry experience
• Experience in the design and implementation of ETL processes using Oracle ODI (preferred) or similar ETL tool (e.g. Informatica, Datastage, OWB etc.)
• Strong foundation and understanding of Dimensional Modeling, including familiarity with best practice methodologies such as Inmon and Kimball is highly desirable
• Analysis and design of data Integration solutions
• Core principles around interface design
• Understanding of integration transports, FTP etc.
• Advanced knowledge of PL-SQL
• Willingness to Travel (5 - 25%)
• An experienced hands-on developer with excellent oral and written communication skills

• Relational Database Design
• Experience of data modeling and data modeling tools (Embarcadero preferred)
• Good knowledge of XML and related standards: XSD, WSDL, XSLT, XPath, SOAP, etc.
• Experience across a range of integration protocols and transports, including: HTTP, Web Services, File & S/FTP, JMS, ODBC/JDBC, Change-data-capture and database replication
• Good understanding of Enterprise Architecture Concepts, including knowledge of enterprise architecture, integration patterns, and related core concepts
• A strong understanding of designing and building Enterprise integration solutions
