Senior Learning & Development Specialist - Client & Quality Team

As a Senior Learning & Development Specialist, you will join a global team of professional and inspiring learning professionals. You will collaborate with teams across ICON to build and implement new curricula of training needs which will help to meet the needs of ICON's overall business strategy.

This role would suit candidates who have worked as a CRA/ CTA/ CTM or on clinical trials at any other capacity. In-depth knowledge of clinical trials is necessary.

The Role:

  • Act as a trusted partner within HR and to Business Leaders alike, in the identification of needs and development of generic and bespoke training requirements.
  • Leading the development, delivery and coordination of a variety of learning programs to meet identified skills gaps for internal and external customers.
  • Lead internal global ICON University learning interventions, work streams or interdepartmental projects.
  • Coordinate the work of other L&D specialists in a matrixed environment, and mentor and train other trainers.
  • Manage the scheduling, coordination and delivery of a range of learning interventions. Credibly work with and contribute to audiences up to senior management level.
  • Design, develop and implement self-paced and blended online learning content and solutions.
  • Actively Evaluate and assess the efficiency and quality of assigned learning interventions and act on outcomes and feedback to ensure interventions keep pace with and anticipate the business need.
  • Build strong working relationships with relevant business leaders associated with programs of work and subject matter experts.
  • Identify and manage suitable external vendors, as appropriate, to develop and/ or facilitate learning interventions.
  • Actively See opportunities for continuous improvement in the design and delivery of Programs, act on and share standard methodologies.
  • Manage the budget associated with assigned work, as applicable.
  • Advise and support the design and successful implementation of Organization Development and Effectiveness programs and projects, as assigned.
  • Perform additional activities and responsibilities related to the job role and support of HR activities as required.

What you will need:

  • Experience working as a CRA/ CTA/ CTM on Clinical Trials.
  • Proven knowledge of the Clinical Trial space
  • In-depth proven experience in relevant discipline in Training, Learning & Development, Education, Management, Psychology, or HR.
  • Proven Training development and delivery experience working with management up to Executive level.
  • Ability to work as part of a remote global team and to train effectively with diverse audiences
  • Demonstrates excellent communication, training, facilitation and mentorship skills.
  • Prior experience conducting presentations or facilitating training in English
  • Proficient in English (written and oral).
  • Ability to work effectively and efficiently on global networked computers using current software applications.
  • Shown ability to design and develop self-paced online learning content.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of current learning technologies and principles.
  • Ability to work effectively and efficiently with current learning and delivery technologies.
