We are looking for passionate, resilient, and inspiring individuals to join our organization and are currently recruiting for Senior Manager, Clinical Operationsin Shanghai.

About the role:

As a Senior Manager, Clinical Operations at ICON, you will be responsible for the coordination, execution, control and completion of the Clinical Operations. Ensure delivery and development of the team against business metrics. Work with Leadership to develop and grow capabilities, productivity, and quality.

You will provide direction and accountability for the operational teams and their delivery at the country and site level, and provide input to Director Clinical Operations on same. You will work within the peer group to drive initiatives across the region and deliver these through their peers in their countries.

You will own the overall delivery, through your operational team, to drive execution of service, client happiness, quality and efficiencies. You will be a key contact for the country in regard to operational questions and issues, and represent Clinical Operations at Sponsor and internal audits.

You are expected to recognize the importance of and build a culture of continuous improvement with a focus on streamlining our processes, adding value to our business and meeting client needs. Carry out all substantial line management responsibilities including appraisals, goal setting and development plans. Run the local clinical operations team by empowering and mentoring them to deliver their key objectives.

To succeed you will need:

• A University degree in medicine, science, or equivalent
• Direct experience in a CRO/Pharmaceutical company
• Significant proven experience in delivering high performance through team management, with prior direct Line Management experience, project management or equivalent job role.
• Excellent management skills, developed with a collaborative approach to driving performance and success in the global environment
• Knowledge of ICH-GCP guidelines and ability to review and evaluate medical data
• Able to engage and motivate a team
• Excellent written and spoken English
