The Financial Business Planning group is the departmental financial analysis function of ICON. The department role is to provide independent, objective financial and consulting services designed to add value, direction and leadership to assist the business in attaining success.

As a Senior Finance Manager, you will play an integral part in enabling ICON to accomplish its objectives by bringing a global, detailed, disciplined approach to evaluating finances and strategy. You will be responsible for consulting business full financial management and business partnering support.

The Role

• Manage Business P&L and Balance Sheet, including budgeting, forecasting, month-end closing activities, Capital Expenditures
• Manage a team of professionals, provide oversight of all aspects of the development
• Be a trusted advisor providing value-added decision support and guidance to management
• Provide strategic financial and operational insights, ad-hoc & KPI analysis.
• As a member of staff, the employee is expected to embrace and contribute to our culture of process improvement with a focus on streamlining our processes adding value to our business and meeting client needs.
• Strong capacity to communicate actions, implications of data and drive action.
• Ability to build strong working relationships with operational business partners.
• Must be an excellent team player and provide leadership to team members.

• Provide decision support and guidance
• Present and communicate to all levels of the business.

• Perform other reasonably related duties, analysis and special projects as assigned
• Travel (approximately 5%) domestic and/or international.

What you need

• Required bachelor degree in Finance, Accounting or Business. MBA is a plus.
• 3+ years' experience in a similar role, work experience with consulting business or CRO is a big plus.
• Robust and creative thinking and problem solving skills.
• Knowledgeable of the dynamics of budgetary deliverables.
• Ability to work effectively with people at various levels of the organization.
• Excellent knowledge of MS office package, in particular Excel.
• International experience highly desirable.
• Proficient communication (written and oral), organizational, and influencing skills.
• Strong experience with financial modeling
• Prior financial systems experience - able to take data and create summaries/reports for management
• Ability to manage multiple priorities.
